Guest Lecture: Martin Kobler on the Crisis of Multilateralism

06. Feb

The Joachim Herz Doctoral School of Law is pleased to welcome Martin Kobler as a guest lecturer at Leuphana University Lüneburg on 6 February 2025. His lecture will focus on the crisis of multilateralism, the global challenges of a changing international world order, and the related diplomatic and (international) legal implications.

Martin Kobler is a diplomat and former Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Egypt, Iraq, and Pakistan. He has also served several times as Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, including in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan and Libya.
We look forward to this session in which we hope to benefit from his extensive experience and insights into the practice of international relations, conflict management, and international law, and to discuss these issues with him. His well-founded and incisive analyses of the current international situation will enrich the programme of the Joachim Herz Doctoral School of Law.

The event will take place from 15:00 to 17:00 in room C40.220 in the main building of Leuphana University Lüneburg. Interested parties are asked to enquire about the possibility of attending in advance by e-mail (jhkolleg@leuphana.de).
