Leuphana launches joint degree programmes with the University of Glasgow

2022-07-18 Double degrees for Bachelor and Master students

Lüneburg/Glasgow. Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Glasgow will be offering management degree programmes together for the first time from October. Students will then be able to obtain degrees from both universities with successful completion of their studies. In addition to academic qualifications, the programmes with integrated semesters abroad also impart intercultural skills.

Students of the Bachelor's programme International Business Administration & Entrepreneurship (IBAE) will have the opportunity to obtain a double degree by studying at both universities. In addition, Master's students of the programmes Management & Data Science, Management & Entrepreneurship and Management & Sustainable Accounting and Finance can also obtain degrees from both universities.

For Prof. Dr. Matthias Wenzel, Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Management & Technology, the expansion of the cooperation with the University of Glasgow is consistent: "We want to train change-makers for the 21st century at Leuphana. Intercultural competence is essential in this. The new offer with the renowned Adam Smith Business School therefore fits perfectly into our portfolio."

The partnership between Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Glasgow, which was established in 2014 with a first joint project, will be further deepened with the new offer. Since 2019, both universities have been operating the European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS), a facility for joint research and study programmes and the exchange of academics and students.

The University of Glasgow is one of the oldest English-speaking universities and, as a founding member of the Russell Group, consistently ranks among the world's best universities in international rankings. The Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow also stands for top-class research and teaching in accounting and finance, economics and management.
