student research assistant „International Relations“

The Chair of International Relations has several positions available as of January 1, 2026, for a

student research assistant (m/f/d)

with working hours of 8 hours per week. The positions are initially limited until September 30, 2029, with the possibility of extension.

The position involves supporting the chair and various research projects, including a DFG-funded project that empirically measures the national sovereignty costs of membership in international organizations.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the organization and preparation of the chair’s teaching
Research work (literature, data, etc.)
Support in data management and evaluation
Editing of scientific manuscripts

Requirements:

Study of political science or a related social science (at least in the 3^rd semester)
Very good English language skills
Solid knowledge of Office programs (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Above-average grades in your studies
Interest in the Chair’s research focus
Diligent working style, ability to work independently
