Impact

The university is an integral part of society and its region. Through research, education, and third-mission activities, continuous exchange and dialogue take place to foster sustainable transformation.

Transdisciplinary Sustainability Research

While rooted in disciplinary foundations, our inter- and transdisciplinary approach enables the analysis of causes, dynamics and impacts of key sustainability problems. This research approach facilitates the development of solutions that resonate across geographical and societal scales, aiming to foster sustainability transformations at all levels.

Management & Technology

Impact at the school of Managament and Technology:

Community "Sustainable Production"

The Leuphana Innovation Communities bring together scientific expertise with professional competence and meet the future with concentrated innovative power.

Example:

Social & Sustainable Entrepreneurship

The Assistant Professorship for International Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship places a particular focus on conducting research, develop teaching and support student engagement in the areas of Social and sustainable entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial practices in challenging environments and the role of emotions in entrepreneurship.

These efforts are bundled in the “Social Change Hub” (SCHub means “pushing things forward” in German). The Social Change Hub (SCHub) is vested in creating social change agents and thus facilitates students’ development of entrepreneurial, sustainability and emotional competencies as a powerful foundation for leading the creation of a healthier, more equitable, innovative and compassionate world.
