Study spaces on campus
No matter whether you want to work alone in peace and quiet or discuss and collaborate with others: In the MIZ foyer, the library's reading room, and other locations on campus, you will find various zones for studying and working that you are welcome to use at any time. Here you will find a current list of possibilities (as of January 2022):
Reading Room
The reading room is a place of silence. There is a general rule of silence here, and we also ask that you refrain from eating or drinking anything (except water bottles). In the reading room you will find about 100 workstations. The following services are available to support your work in the reading room:
- Literature on all subject areas
- Information and advice
- PC workstations
- Scanner, printer and copier
- Notebook locks
MIZ Foyer
In the MIZ foyer you will find different possibilities for discussion, collaboration and working aloud:
- Group workrooms in various sizes with technical equipment, e.g. electronic SMART board
- 1 computer pool with a total of 8 Windows computers
- lounge for recreation located on the ground floor and the group work zone on the upper floor of the foyer
- computer pool with Windows computers on the ground floor
Further workplaces on the Leuphana Campus
On the campus you will find many other workstations that also allow you to work aloud.
- In the area of the top floor of building 14 you will find many more workstations, distributed over two floors
- In the central building - when no events are taking place - workplaces are available in the foyer and forum and room 40.110
- All free seminar rooms of Leuphana may still be used for working: For this purpose, please search independently in MyStudy under Resources for the next free rooms.
With children on campus
- In the MIZ foyer you will recently find a breastfeeding and quiet room. This room provides a place of retreat for anyone who needs a short rest. A resting couch is available for use. A nursing chair with a footrest is available for breastfeeding or giving bottles.
- In addition, the key for the parent-child room is now available again at the information desk in the reading room. The parent-child room is located on the ground floor of Building 14.
