Scanning services for researchers

The MIZ at Leuphana supports researchers at Leuphana University in scanning entire book chapters, complete journal articles, or sections of books—up to 75%—for their own academic research in accordance with Section 60c, Paragraph 2 of the German Copyright Act (UrhG). The MIZ supports each scanning project with personnel and technical services. The scanning service is intended exclusively for academic staff at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

The service requires initial registration via an informal email to scanservice-registrierung@leuphana.de.

If you are already registered, you can create a scan request here for one of the following:

1. Journal article (entire article)

2. Essay from an anthology (entire essay)

3. Section of up to 75% from a monograph (no anthologies)

The finished scan will then be made available for you to download as a PDF—with OCR text recognition upon request.
