Platform PubData
PubData is Leuphana University Lüneburg's central platform for archiving and publishing research data and publications. It ensures the long-term preservation and free global accessibility of results generated through research, teaching, and studies at Leuphana. The service is operated by the Media and Information Center (MIZ) and is available to staff, students, and researchers from Leuphana's contractual partner institutions.
► To PubData
On PubData, research data and related materials can be permanently archived and, if wanted, published. Access to these data can either be completely free or restricted to certain persons or groups of persons. In addition, data sets that have already been published with external providers can be reported for inclusion in the PubData inventory.
► More information can be found on PubData in the research data section
On PubData, publications are made freely accessible worldwide in accordance with Open Access. Literature publications (e.g., books, articles, dissertations, theses, reports) and alternative formats (e.g., multimedia, teaching and learning materials, posters, lecture notes) can be submitted for publication by the authors themselves. Student publications are highly welcome and can be published with a publication recommendation from the respective lecturer / reviewer.

How to Submit Materials
Leuphana members can submit their materials independently via PubData. To do so, log in to the website using your Leuphana account. If you do not have an active Leuphana account, you can register as an external user (Log in → Registration for external users).
Submission process
- Select a collection: Choose whether you would like to submit research data (archive or publish) or publications (alternative formats or literature publications). Depending on your choice, select the appropriate button (e.g. on the PubData homepage). This will start the submission process.
- Upload file(s)
- Choose a licence: Select a reuse licence for each file (e.g. a Creative Commons licence).
- (Optional) Set an embargo period: Files will only become publicly accessible after a specified date.
- (For publications) Select the resource type: e.g. dissertation, report, thesis, poster
- Enter metadata: e.g. title, author(s), type of data, methods, abstract, keywords
- Accept the publication agreement
The submission can be paused at any time and continued later. During the process, a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is reserved and can be added to the material if needed.
