Consulting on Research Data Management and training courses

The requirements for research data management for researchers increase in complexity and quantity. For this reason, Leuphana's Media and Information Centre, in cooperation with the Research Service, provides consulting services and training courses on various aspects of research data and its management.

Consulting Focus

  • Consulting on all data-referred aspects in the project application process
  • Consulting and support in the creation of data management plans (DMP)
  • Legal advice, especially with regard to the collection of personal data, copyright and licensing issues
  • Consulting on formal data preparation and documentation in the form of suitable metadata
  • Consulting on data organisation, encryption, data storage and data backup
  • Consulting on appropriate archiving and publication services and solutions for your research data and underlying materials
  • Consulting on re-using third party data.

If advice and support on any of these or other topics related to research data management is needed, please contact us by e-mail or telephone.

Training courses

Leuphana and MIZ aim to systematically provide students and researchers with competences and skills for the appropriate management of research data and to create awareness for the topic. According to this, the practices and standards of data management are to be sustainably anchored both at Leuphana and in the research community.

Therefore, the service centre research data management always offers training courses on research data management in general, but also on individual topics in particular. Regular events have already been and will be anchored via the programme of the Graduate School and the event programme for the scientific staff.

Additionally, we also offer on request specific information events and various training courses for groups, projects and individuals, e.g. in the context of doctoral courses, project or institutional meetings and events.

Please don't hesitate and contact us when you have already identified a relevant topic or any need for training, .
