Virtual servers

In principle, IT services (e.g. email, WWW, databases, etc.) of the central servers of the MIZ should be used.

If a desired IT service is not offered or cannot be operated by the MIZ, we will provide the university institutions with a virtual server upon justified request so that they can install the services themselves.

In advance of a request, the technical and organisational circumstances and thus the feasibility must be discussed with the MIZ. Further information can be found under "Instructions".
