(EG 13 TV-L, 50%, initially limited until 31.12.2029)

The "Leuphana AI Campus" (LAICA) project aims to create a teaching and study architecture unique in Germany for a comprehensive AI Literacy Education, which sustainably integrates Artificial Intelligence as a subject of learning and a tool in all phases of study from Bachelor to Master to doctoral studies, both interdisciplinarily and within disciplines. Through science-based as well as practice-based, interdisciplinary, and ethically reflective approaches, the project enables students to understand Artificial Intelligence (AI), to use it responsibly, and to act as empowered shapers of the digital future.

In the "Impact Assessment and Evaluation" work package, modern methods of empirical and experimental economic research will be used to evaluate and continuously develop the measures for AI Literacy Education introduced in the LAICA project. The goal is to investigate whether and how AI literacy can be taught and learned as a skill. For this purpose, novel measurement paradigms are to be developed that allow for a better understanding of how students handle common AI tools. In addition, within the framework of the teaching content developed in the project, the influence of these tools on the problem-solving skills of students in abstract as well as study-related tasks will be examined.
