Vita

Antoniya Hauerwaas is a PostDoctoral Researcher and has been working on the European collaborative project "Tobacco as sustainable production platform of the natural biopolymer cyanophycin as co-product to oil and protein" since June 2018, in which she also researches in addition to the communication and data management of the project responsible for biotechnologies from an innovation and stakeholder perspective. She completed her business studies at Leuphana University and did her doctorate here on “Systemic Innovations as Mechanisms for Systems Transformations. Towards a Better Understanding of the Impact of Systems Thinking, Innovations and Institutions for System Change ”. Her further work deals with the role of innovations, institutional changes and entrepreneurship for transformations and system change from an interdisciplinary, systemic perspective and with a broad mix of methods of qualitative and quantitative research. Her research focuses on systemic and institutional (cultural, social, political) innovations, institutional and social entrepreneurship and (social) mechanims of change as well as biotechnologies for sustainable development. Her research work has been published in Research Policy and Journal of Cleaner Production.
