Vita

Frederic Penz studied business and psychology in Lüneburg, St. Gallen and Mexico City. During his studies he co-founded an agricultural cooperative in Guatemala and a vegan cheese start-up in Switzerland. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he co-founded a platform for mental health funded by the BMBF. He also gained experience in strategy consulting and with several DAX companies. 

From May 2020 to April 2023, he coordinated the Leuphana Yunus Centre for Social Business and Values (YCSB). From January 2021, he established the Holistic Impact Incubator as part of the Startup Port project. From October 2020 to August 2024, he did his PhD at the Professorship for Sustainability Management and Economics on entrepreneurship for sustainable development, focusing in particular on the impact scaling and measurement of sustainable start-ups. He is currently responsible for establishing the Leuphana Social Innovation Community.
