Vita

Lea Jakob studied Cultural Economics with a focus on Italian Cultural Studies in Passau, Parma and Perugia. After her Bachelor's degree, she completed a Master's in Management & Entrepreneurship at Leuphana University Lüneburg. During her studies, she researched the importance of opera festivals in regional marketing and corporate cultural responsibility. Since 2015, she has been working in cultural management - among other things, she designs and supervises exchange and training programmes for young musicians as part of the Cuban-European Youth Academy. In 2019, she participated in the Winter School 'Brokering Intercultural Exchange within Societies'. In the context of her dissertation, which is supervised by Prof. Dr. Raphaela Henze (Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences) in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Sigrid Bekmeier-Feuerhahn (Leuphana University Lüneburg), she is researching the role of artists and international cooperation in Cuba's transformation process. Since 2021, she has been a lecturer at Heilbronn University and Leuphana University, and since 2022, a research assistant at the Chair of Communication and Cultural Management at Leuphana University.
