Dr.-Ing. Winfrid Rauch, author of Mechanical Recycling Technology for River and Ocean Plastics and the Reasons Why We Do Too Little, researches and develops in various recycling areas.
Drawing on decades of experience in the field of recycling technology, Winfrid Rauch successfully attempts to provide technical perspectives on the subject. Numerous research projects deal with the composition of marine and beach waste, the weathering of plastics and the scientific observation of the formation of microplastics. Winfrid Rauch attempts to provide an answer by describing the sortability and washability of river and marine plastic. He also gives an outlook on what processes could look like in which river and marine plastic can be systematically treated and recycled in a sustainable way.
This seminar is part of the course Rethink Microplastic - Analysis, comparison and solutions to plastic pollution, with Professor Braungart.
