2021 Mar: Bayesian Inference with JASP

Abstract
The main purpose of this workshop is to familiarize participants with key Bayesian concepts. The emphasis is on Bayesian
hypothesis testing. Concrete examples illustrate how to compute, report and interpret Bayesian hypothesis tests for popular
statistical models such as correlation, regression, t-test, ANOVA, and contingency tables. To facilitate the learning process we use JASP, a program whose attractive graphical user interface allows us to focus quickly on core Bayesian concepts and principles.

At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to carry out statistical analyses in JASP, interpret the output, and report the results. No background in Bayesian statistics is required. Participants should have access to a computer with the latest version of JASP installed (jasp-stats.org). Plenary sessions will be given by Eric-Jan Wagenmakers.

Day 1 - 19th March 2021

13:30 - 16:30 Binomial test, correlation, t-tests

Day 2 - 26th March 2021
10:00 - 12:15 meta-analysis, A/B test
13:30 - 16:30 regression, ANOVA, miscellaneous

Registration will follow the first-come, first-serve-principle. However, PhD-students/postdocs/faculty/MA-students will be given preference. The deadline for registering is March 16th, 2021.
