Quality Advisory Board
Advice on Quality Development
To ensure and improve the quality of our study programmes and teaching, and to continuously develop our quality management system, we regularly seek external input from the Leuphana Quality Advisory Board. The Quality Advisory Board was established specifically in light of Leuphana's system accreditation and usually meets once a year.
This year's meeting of the Leuphana Quality Advisory Board will take place on Monday, 8 December from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in C40.704.
The University's Quality Advisory Board advises the Presidential Board on the further development of Leuphana's quality management. Its tasks – including promoting a culture of quality in teaching and learning and supporting teaching development – are laid down in the Presidential Board's guidelines for quality development in teaching and learning (1.1.1 Qualitätsbeirat der Universität).
The Quality Advisory Board is composed as follows:
- the responsible member of the Presidential Board (Chair)
- two to three external experts from the field of science
- one to two external experts from the field of professional practice
- at least one student or alumnus with experience in quality management.
In recent years, topics have ranged from ‘digital transformation in teaching and studies’ and ‘general, critical, valuable suggestions for the further development of Leuphana QM’ to ‘further development of quality management at Leuphana with special consideration of the appointment of professors,’ ‘Feedback, discussion on the internal review process’ and ‘Research at Leuphana – development, framework conditions, quality assurance, and presentation and discussion of the further development of Leuphana QM in studies and teaching (study programme development cycle)’ to ‘Control data in quality management for studies and teaching.’
