Teaching architecture. Shaping the university of the future

The “Teaching Architecture” funding line of the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education aims to support universities in the structural renewal of studies and teaching. With a total of 480 million euros, the foundation funds projects that develop innovative teaching and learning formats and anchor them institutionally in order to meet the challenges of a changing society.

Leuphana University Lüneburg was successful with both an individual application from Leuphana and a joint application in cooperation with the University of Göttingen and TU Braunschweig. On the following pages you will find detailed information on the projects

Leuphana AI Campus (LAICA)

The project is developing a new type of teaching and study architecture throughout Germany that anchors artificial intelligence as a learning object and tool in all phases of study, both interdisciplinary and subject-specific, and thus promotes comprehensive AI literacy education in the long term.

Campus in Transition (CiT)

The aim of the joint project “Campus in Transition” (CiT) is to promote the structural renewal of studies and teaching through a strategic alliance between TU Braunschweig, Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Göttingen. In the face of social challenges such as demographic change, scientific skepticism and technological upheaval, the cooperation is intended to help shape future-oriented higher education, promote diversity and sustainability and strengthen students as active co-creators of social transformation.
