Quality Advisory Board
To ensure and develop quality in the areas of study and teaching and to continuously improve our quality management system, we regularly seek external input from the Leuphana Quality Advisory Board. The Quality Advisory Board was developed specifically with Leuphana's system accreditation in mind and usually meets once a year.
The University Quality Advisory Board advises the Executive Board on the further development of Leuphana's quality management system. Its tasks – including promoting a culture of quality in studies and teaching and supporting the development of teaching – are laid down in the Executive Board's guidelines on quality development in studies and teaching (1.1.1 University Quality Advisory Board).
The Quality Advisory Board is composed as follows:
- the responsible member of the Executive Board (chair)
- two to three external experts from the field of science
- one to two external experts from the field of professional practice
- at least one student or alumnus with experience in quality management.
In recent years, the topics have ranged from ‘digital transformation in teaching and studies’ and ‘general, critical, valuable suggestions for the further development of Leuphana QM’ to ‘further development of quality management at Leuphana with special consideration of the appointment of professors’, ‘feedback and discussion on the internal review process,’ ‘research at Leuphana – development, framework conditions, quality assurance, and presentation and discussion of the further development of Leuphana QM for study and teaching (study programme development control loop),’ and ‘control data in quality management for study and teaching.
