Online reading with Birte Meier – ‘Equal Pay Now!’

04. Feb

Why do women in Germany continue to get paid less than men on average – even when they have the same qualifications? Millions of people are affected by wage discrimination – from office workers to professors. Behind the seemingly harmless term ‘gender pay gap’ lies what is probably the biggest wage theft in the history of the German Republic.

Journalist Birte Meier reads from her book ‘Equal Pay Now!’ and sheds light on the background to unequal pay and reports on the current legal situation regarding the Pay Transparency Act.
