Gender Diversity Certificate (GDZ)
Students at Leuphana University of Lüneburg can acquire the Gender and Diversity Certificate as part of their bachelor’s or master’s degree. The certificates can be integrated into degree programmes without the need to acquire additional credit points. They are an optional extra open to all students. The certificates demonstrate students have acquired skills that enable the critical analysis of gender, inclusion and exclusion, power and protest, social inequality, diversity and difference, and equality of opportunity.
- Within bachelor’s programmes, the Gender and Diversity Certificate can be acquired through the successful completion of two foundation seminars and two extension seminars within Complementary Studies. The workload comprises a total of 20 credit points (CP).
- In master’s programmes, students must successfully complete three seminars totalling 15 CP to obtain the certificate. This requires taking two seminars within Complementary Studies and one additional seminar that can be taken either as part of Complementary Studies or your major.
