Quality Advisory Board

Advice on Quality Development

We regularly seek external input from Leuphana's Quality Advisory Board on current developments in our teaching quality. The Quality Advisory Board was developed in particular in the context of Leuphana's system accreditation and most recently took place on Wed., Sept. 25, 2024 in the university's central building. The substantive focus was on the topic of digital transformation in teaching and learning

The University Quality Council advises the Presidential Board on the further development of Leuphana's quality management. Its responsibilities are defined in the Presidential Board's guidelines for quality development in teaching and learning (1.1.1 University Quality Council).

Its other responsibilities include promoting a quality culture in teaching and learning and supporting teaching development.

The Quality Advisory Board is composed as follows:

  • the responsible member of the Presidential Board (chair)
  • two to three external quality management experts from the field of science
  • one to two external quality management experts from the field of professional practice
  • a student or alumna or alumnus with experience in quality management

In recent years, the topics have ranged from “general, critical, valuable suggestions for the further development of Leuphana QM” to “further development of Leuphana's quality management with special consideration of the appointment of professorships,” “feedback, discussion of the internal review procedure”, ‘Research at Leuphana I - Development, Framework Conditions, Quality Assurance as well as Presentation and Discussion of the Further Development of the Leuphana QM Studies and Teaching (Control Cycle Study Program Development)’ to ”Control Data in Quality Management for Studies and Teaching”
