Let’s BINGO: Building Inclusion, Networks, Gender Equality & Openness in Chemistry

We are pleased to invite you to the Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB) 2026, an international initiative promoted by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) together with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) that brings together students, researchers, and academics to promote gender equality, inclusion, and diversity in the chemical sciences.

This year, our event is especially meaningful as it coincides with the 15th anniversary of the School of Sustainability at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. We will celebrate this milestone by creating a space for reflection, dialogue, and collective action within the chemistry and sustainability community.

  • Who: Everyone is welcome, from all areas and backgrounds! Undergraduate and Master’s students, early-career researchers, academic staff, and anyone interested in the topic.
  • Agenda: a) Introduction: Prof. Dr. Dr. Vânia Zuin Zeidler (Pro-Dean of Gender and Diversity, School of Sustainability, Leuphana University); b) Short inspirational talk on gender equality and sustainability in Chemistry and related areas by Prof. Dr. Angeliki Balayannis (Guest Professor at School of Sustainability and Professor at Wageningen University & Research); c) An interactive Equity Action Bingo, a game-based activity designed to encourage discussion, peer learning, and co-creation of ideas related to inclusive scientific careers and laboratory cultures
