Lower Saxony-Scotland Fellowship Programme announced

2022-11-30 Lüneburg/Glasgow. The European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS) announces the next round of calls for proposals for the Lower Saxony - Scotland Tandem Fellowship Programme. The programme is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK) and organized by ECAS, a joint institution of Leuphana University Lüneburg and the University of Glasgow (Scotland).

Young academics who have completed their PhD within the last 10 years and have an employment contract with a Scottish or Lower Saxon higher education institution are invited to apply for the programme. It offers the opportunity to conduct research in a transnational exchange at the most recognized universities in Lower Saxony and Scotland. The concept is that two researchers from both regions form a tandem and work on a joint project. Short-term stays of at least one to five months in the partner region are funded with 1,400 EUR per person and month.

Fellowships will be awarded for a period of up to ten months: March 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023. Applications can be submitted from now until January 31, 2023. Details on the programme and application process, as well as a list of participating institutions, are available here: ecas-academia.org/tandem-fellowship/

For further information, ECAS can be reached at fellowship@ecas-academia.org or at the Leuphana Central Building (in rooms 143, 144 and 145).
