Developing ideas together for a better society

2025-01-27 Society faces many challenges. But how can we leverage our diverse perspectives to develop solutions? In the Ideation Workshop of the Leuphana Social Innovation Community, we tackled these questions through a collaborative and creative process.

How can societal challenges be addressed? Participants visualize their solution approaches in the Ideation Workshop.

At the heart of the workshop was the Sandbox Method, developed at Leuphana. This approach allows us to bring together the diverse perspectives of participants, with each phase tailored to a specific aspect. It provides a structured framework for the creative process, ensuring a clear focus on the issues at hand. After identifying the most pressing societal challenges from their perspectives, participants developed suitable solutions. Through rapid prototyping with LEGO bricks, they refined their ideas and transformed them into new concepts.

This led to ideas addressing the growing lack of physical activity and the fragmentation of interests in society. The workshop also provided an opportunity to network and explore other offerings of the Social Innovation Community, such as startup consulting with Kerstin Blumberg at Utopia.
