Scaling with Impact at the Social Entrepreneurship Forum
2026-02-26 The second Social Entrepreneurship Forum in Hamburg once again brought together the entire social entrepreneurship ecosystem of the metropolitan region. The Leuphana Social Innovation Community was right in the middle of it.
On 24 February 2026, the social entrepreneurship community from Hamburg and the wider metropolitan area gathered at the Körber Foundation for the second Social Entrepreneurship Forum. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions and workshops, it became clear that social change can only be achieved by working together – across sectoral and organisational boundaries.
A particular highlight for us was the panel ‘Scaling with Impact: Success Factors and Challenges for Social Enterprises’. Here, Monja Jänisch, Linda Rau and Martin Jung discussed with representatives from the field and the funding sector how social innovations can grow sustainably and broaden their impact. Our colleague Robert Hoyer was also in attendance, sharing an academic perspective and some insights from research.
Encounters like these reinforce our commitment: social entrepreneurs need a space to learn from one another, try out new approaches and have a greater impact together. The forum once again highlighted the immense potential within this community – and the importance of dialogue between academia, the field and society. Therefore, a huge thank you once again to Social Entrepreneurship City Hamburg for the invitation and for another well-organised forum with a fantastic programme!
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with all stakeholders and to making social innovations even more effective!
