HOLII Digital Café: Community Entrepreneurship
2026-05-14 The Leuphana Social Innovation Community discussed alternative economic models in HOLII’s digital discussion forum. Charlotte von Wulffen highlighted how communities act as a driving force for social impact. Initiatives such as SuperCoop demonstrate that fair consumption is achievable when we work together.
Leuphana University’s Holistic Impact Incubator (HOLII) launched a new round at the start of the year. Since April, participants have been taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to further develop their start-up ideas in a regenerative way. In April, the Leuphana Social Innovation Community contributed a significant impulse.
On 22 April, Charlotte von Wulffen presented the concept of community entrepreneurship as a direct response to current global crises. In her talk, Charlotte emphasised the transformative power of strong communities. Passive consumers thus become proactive co-creators of a new economy.
Concrete practical examples brought the theoretical framework to life: FC St. Pauli impressively demonstrates the success of community financing, which turns fans into genuine partners and creates economic resilience. Another role model is the SuperCoop project in Berlin, where people organise sustainable shopping collectively.
