A Connected School? A Concept for More Inclusion? Let's Join Them Together!
2026-10-15 Collaborative thinking - there were various opportunities to do so on October 5 and 6 at the 3rd School Administrators’ Conference of the Lüneburg District (Landkreis Lüneburg). The Leuphana Innovation Community for School Development and Leadership provided inspiration with the card game “Game of Schools” and the results of the workshop series on developing a regional inclusion concept.
On October 5th and 6th, the 3rd School Administrators’ Conference of the Lüneburg District (Landkreis Lüneburg) took place in Visselhövede, and the School Development and Leadership Community took part in it!
On the first day, Hariet Schellig and Florian List played their own card game, the “Game of Schools”, with the participants (more on that here). In two rounds of workshops, the game helped participants discover unusual resources for school development and use them creatively to collaboratively advance their own fictional school - despite numerous unexpected events. For example, a new espresso machine (which was on sale) was used to introduce a culture of rewards among the faculty, the continued existence of the debate club was tenaciously negotiated and the collaboration between two schools was successfully initiated.
On the second day, Hariet and Florian had the opportunity to present the results of the large-scale, participatory Lego® workshop series - whose findings will inform the development of a regional inclusion plan - and to share stories about the many heartwarming encounters they’d had over the past year with students, parents, teachers, and school administrators. The presentation was accompanied by an exhibition of the workshop results, which will now be used as a basis for further work. On to the next round!
