Workshop: Entrepreneurial self-employment with little ballast - solopreneurs in sideline or main business
29. Mar
What types of solopreneurs are there, what distinguishes freelancers and start-ups from each other? Joint exchange on the possibilities of entrepreneurial self-employment as a doctoral student or research assistant.
Target group: PhD students and research assistants
Speaker: Carsten Wille, Leuphana Start-up Service
Whether in the course of scientific work, project work, social commitment or even in the private environment, small, exciting product ideas often arise or needs are discovered for which one has supply ideas. However, many people shy away from the step to implementation because they are afraid of building up a business organization or taking responsibility for employees. However, many of these projects can be implemented quite easily and without complex structures of their own. Whether as a sideline or as an economic livelihood in the main profession, so-called solopreneurs create scalable business models, especially in the digital world, by building up a network of resources and specifically using other service providers to place their own offerings on the market. The type of offerings that are suitable for this and the networks and service providers that can be drawn on depend on the respective business model.
The types of solopreneurs, how they differ from freelancers or startups, which steps have to be taken and what has to be considered will be briefly discussed in this introductory workshop. Afterwards, questions can be asked and potential projects discussed. The workshop will be rounded off with information on further offers and networking opportunities.
