6th Working Forum on Energy-Efficient Production

To kick things off, Jens Heger introduced the Institute for Production Engineering and Systems (IPTS) as well as the Chair of Modeling and Simulation of Technical Systems and Processes.

A Meaningful Exchange

The participating companies then looked back on their collaboration with HAW Hamburg to date. It became clear that suggestions from the working forum and the collaboration with students had already been taken up and implemented within the companies.

The discussion then turned to the issues currently facing the companies: Where can energy still be saved, and what challenges arise during implementation? The topic of energy sharing was also addressed. The open exchange gave participants the opportunity to learn from one another and take away new ideas for their own companies.

Prof. Dr. Enno Stöver: “The working forum bringing together companies and universities creates an opportunity to learn from one another, discuss issues together, and support one another in addressing fundamental questions. In the next step, we will summarize the insights from these meetings to generate momentum for energy efficiency beyond this group.”

The collaboration with HAW Hamburg and Leuphana University is set to continue in the future to develop further approaches and support companies in their implementation efforts. The next working forum is scheduled to take place on-site at one of the participating partners’ locations.

Other companies and interested parties involved in energy efficiency in production are cordially invited to participate in the working forum and contribute their own topics.
