Alexander Weltzsch started by outlining the back story of Facelift, as he believed the company's development was representative of the growth of social media marketing overall. Facelift is a technology service provider and was founded in 2011. Its business object is to increase the efficiency of social media marketing for businesses. Facelift has found success on the market with its "Facelift Cloud", a "multi-social all-in-one cloud" containing various modules that allow companies to manage issues such as moderation, engagement and benchmarking. Mr Weltzsch explained that in 2017, the advertising budgets for social media marketing will for the first time be larger than the budgets for TV advertising.
