According to Thorsten Till, human resource management is governed by six mega-trends (including globalisation and demographic change) that are leading to faster development and greater transparency, which is why the challenges facing human resource management are changing. Mr Till then discussed the recruitment sector in depth and introduced two instruments: Realistic Job Preview and TalentQ. Realistic Job Preview is an online self-test that allows potential candidates to determine their suitability for a specific job. TalentQ also offers online psychometric selection processes. Mr Till introduced three products – Aspects, Dimensions, Elements – that provide different options for testing skills, personality traits and performance. He explained that these online procedures are particularly useful for "mass recruitment" as they allow you to assess the suitability of a large number of candidates for a specific job. Thorsten Till finished by explaining that the HayGroup was currently in talks with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees to determine whether or not and how TalentQ could be used to assess the competencies of refugees to improve and speed up their integration into the labour market and facilitate targeted training.
