International political science gathers at Leuphana

2024-03-19 Lüneburg/London. Around 480 political scientists will gather on the campus of Leuphana University Lüneburg from 25 to 28 March 2024. The reason for their attendance is this year's Joint Sessions of Workshops of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). They offer a platform for academics at all stages of their careers, from all parts of the world and all areas of political science, to come together for several days of intensive discussion, feedback and collaboration. The event is organised by Leuphana's Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD).

The programme includes 30 workshops on topics such as "Political divisions in Western democracies", "Autocracies and international organisations" and "Political parties and models of democracy". The event offers academics an exclusive opportunity to receive feedback on their research and engage in insightful discussions on well-defined topics.

The four-day workshops serve as closed forums in which 15 to 20 papers will be presented. Each participant presents their paper, which is then discussed by the group. This unique and collaborative process has helped tens of thousands of scientists improve their research, publish and network over the past five decades.
