Do you want to improve your language skills or learn a new language? Or would you like to practice your language skills and communicate with other students using a foreign language?
The Self Access Center has a lot of opportunities to help you do this!

Who visits the Self-Access Center?

The Self-Access Center offers a variety of opportunities for both Leuphana University students and employees to practice and enhance their language skills independently in an enjoyable and relaxed setting.

At the Self-Access Center you have the possibility to:

  •  find out your language level and your learning goals,
  •  take a placement test for an upcoming course,
  •  plan and implement a language study project, possibly for a language course or in preparation for a recognized language certificate,
  •  use general and specific materials to learn a new language or to reactivate and improve language skills,
  •  use online learning programs on the SLZ computers, 
  •  rent DVDs from our broad collection of original movies as well as CD-Rom, audio or video material concerning language, literature and regional studies,
  •  improve language skills with other learners and native speakers in SLZ events,
  •  communicate with other language learners.
