Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs
Under the new Erasmus+ program generation (2021-2027), the development of short, intensive and collaborative curricula will offer students and university staff the opportunity to participate as learners in a short physical group mobility (5-30 days) combined with a virtual phase (mandatoryfor students, optional for doctoral students). The short-term programs developed as part of the program are ideally embedded in the curricula of the cooperating universities. The (mandatory) virtual component enables the preparation, support and follow-up of the mobility phase. Its scope depends on the learning objectives of the planned course.
A BIP is developed by at least 3 ECHE universities from three different Erasmus program countries. At least 15 (from 2024 call 10) mobile students must participate in a BIP. Sponsored students must acquire at least 3 ECTS credits that contribute to the completion of their studies. For doctoral students, the workload should equal 3 ECTS.
The physical stay of the BIP participants is funded by the sending university using Erasmus funds. The coordinating university applies for funding for the organization and implementation of the BIP. These funds are granted for a maximum of 20 participants.
If you are planning to develop a BIP, please contact us. Before doing so, we need the information in the “Application BIP” form, which you will find in the download area below.
