Languages Courses for Students
The Language and Culture Team at Leuphana University offers a wide range of language courses. Learn a new language, refresh your skills, and earn additional credit points.

If the language you want to learn is not included in our course offerings, we have materials for autonomous learning in the Self-Access Center. Additionally language that Leuphana does not offer can be taken at the VHS Lüneburg which is free of charge for Leuphana students as long as there are no courses offered for the target language at the corresponding level during the semester in question. The VHS offer does not apply to German as a foreign language and English.

Arabic from A1, Chinese A2 or higher, Portuguese from A1 as well as other languagess that Language and Culture does not offer or does not offer at the appropriate level can be taken by Leuphana students at the VHS Region Lüneburg. The course fee will be covered by the university as long as there are no courses offered for the target language at the corresponding level during the semester in question. It is not possible to earn Credit Points for the language courses at VHS Region Lüneburg (neither as voluntary extra credit nor for the Bachelor's complementary studies). The VHS offer does not apply to German as a foreign language and English.
