Professional career: After completing my bachelor's degree in business law with honors, I followed up with a master's degree in business law with a focus on employment law at HS Mainz. Additionally, I successfully worked as a corporate lawyer at Europe's largest BioTech company. In the middle of this year, I will start my doctorate.

When I look back on my time at Leuphana today, then...

...I realize how valuable the culture at the university, as well as the complementary studies, were. It enabled me to develop important soft skills and especially my personality.

How did your studies prepare you for your current job?

The responsibility and self-initiative that are expected of students at Leuphana have allowed me to develop a great deal of independence. The transdisciplinary approach taken by Leuphana's study model made it more clear to me how relevant it is to look at a problem from multiple perspectives. This is especially important when working in an environment where graduates from different disciplines come together.

What are the advantages of studying at Leuphana?

Freedom to plan your own course of study and content, personal responsibility, continuing education even in scientific fields outside of your field of study.

To whom would you recommend studying at Leuphana?

Anyone who is interested in legal issues and economic contexts and who also attaches importance to being able to acquire knowledge outside their field of specialization and who wants to broaden their horizons. Anyone who values independence.

What experience can I bring to the table as an Alumni Angel?

I have now been enrolled in four different degree programs, never had a straight course in my career so far, and therefore know very well that it is often not easy to find one's way.
