The Kollektivista of Quijote Kaffee, a coffee roasting company in Hamburg, set new standards in transparency within the industry and instead of competition they focus on cooperation. They organise themselves non-hierarchically as a collective business and make all decisions together. They publish their entire business concept through recipes and contracts and maintain direct, solidarity-based trade relations with a number of grassroots cooperatives of coffee farmers.

The business is doing well but they have capped their own growth. Why? We will talk about all this with Pingo, one of the two people who started Quijote at the very beginning, and learn about the possibilities and challenges of collective farming and how it makes new forms of economic solidarity possible.

We look forward to Pingo and your questions!
