Welcome Centers meeting for an exchange at Leuphana University of Lüneburg

Recently, coordinators from the Welcome Centres of various universities in Lower Saxony and Bremen met at Leuphana University Lüneburg for a joint networking event. The event aimed to facilitate discussion of current developments, exchange of experiences, and further strengthening of cooperation among the universities.
The meeting covered numerous topics related to the work of the Welcome Centres. Issues such as export controls in a university context and current developments concerning health insurance for international researchers were among the topics addressed. Participants took the opportunity to discuss the challenges they face in their day-to-day work, present examples of best practice, and develop joint solutions.The day concluded with a guided group tour of Lüneburg’s historic old town. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants were able to familiarise themselves with the Hanseatic city and continue the discussions from earlier in the day. The meeting provided valuable professional insights and strengthened the network among the Welcome Centres.
