MWK: Funding for European and International Cooperation

The goal of funding European and international cooperation is to strengthen Lower Saxony as a location for science through three funding lines:

• PROFILinternational – Pilot and model projects of international cooperation that strengthen the profile of the respective university(s) in research, study and teaching, and transfer, or contribute to the implementation of the internationalization strategy of the respective university(s); as well as measures for the implementation of the internationalization strategy of the State University Conference to strengthen Lower Saxony as a location for science.
  → Indicative funding amounts: €10,000 – €30,000 (individual applications) / €60,000 (collaborative applications)
• FOKUSinternational – International cooperation projects with scientific institutions in selected countries or regions (currently Scotland and Israel).
  → Indicative funding amounts: €10,000 – €30,000 (individual applications) / €60,000 (collaborative applications)
• INTENSIVinternational – Projects and measures at individual universities or in associations of several universities for the establishment of new and the intensification of existing international cooperation that are of central importance for sub-areas of the university(s) and continuously strengthen the international cooperation of the university(s) or are suitable for initiating new collaborations. The pooled summary of smaller measures with the same objective is also possible.
  → Indicative funding amounts: €2,500 – €10,000 (individual applications) / €15,000 (collaborative applications)
