Information Session on Submitting Applications to the Ethics Review Board

The Office of the University’s Ethics Review Board is hosting an information session on the application process and the review procedure, to which we cordially invite you.

The session is aimed at all eligible members of the university—particularly doctoral candidates, postdocs, and professors—who wish to submit a research project for ethical review or who would like to learn about the procedures in advance. During the event, participants will receive a concise overview of:

• the tasks and responsibilities of the Ethics Advisory Board,

• the application and review process,

• the requirements for submitting an application,

• the use of the provided forms and guidelines,

• as well as the possible decisions of the Ethics Review Board.

In addition, practical tips for successful application submission will be provided, and common questions from research practice will be addressed. A Q&A session will offer an opportunity for discussion and clarification of individual concerns.

Dr Anne-Kathrin Gitter has been a member of the Ethics Advisory Board’s secretariat team since February 2025 and is also the EU research officer in Leuphana’s Research Service.
