Support from the Start - Doctorate/Postdoc

Are you interested in doing a doctorate at Leuphana?

For those who are new to the German education system, we recommend the online course "How to apply for a Phd in Germany" provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The course can be accessed after free registration, for an overview of how to start a doctorate.

We look forward to welcoming you as a docotoral researcher in the qualification phase at the Leuphana Graduate School. For a first impression, please use the information provided on our website. The path to admission is described there in detail with all its steps. To get a first impression of university life at Leuphana, we cordially invite you to visit us on campus. Unfortunately, a personal councelling is not available at the moment. If you have any further questions, please contact us via email: info.doctorate@leuphana.de.

Counselling Service

Doing a doctorate is a very individual process that affects all areas of your life. Therefore, you often need more than just the most important information on academic requirements, formal prerequisites and timetables. It is also important to deal with your expectations, goals and perspectives as well as the strategic planning of your next steps.

The advisor of the Leuphana Graduate School will be happy to support you in your reflection - whether in the decision-making process at the beginning, in challenges during the course of your doctoral phase or around the last hurdles shortly before graduation.

Please direct your enquiries per email to info.doctorate@leuphana.de or make an appointment via our booking tool below.
