Selection Procedure

At Leuphana Graduate School

If you meet the admission requirements and your application is valid, we will check whether we can offer you a study place. If more applicants meet the admission requirements than there are places available for a master's degree programme, the places will be allocated on the basis of a selection procedure. Certain selection criteria are taken into account, each of which is converted into points. A final ranking list is drawn up on the basis of the points achieved.

The following criteria are taken into account for the selection process:

  1. Up to 30 points for the final grade or average grade from the bachelor's program
  2. Up to 11 points for special achievements (international experience, honorary elective office, scholarships and best quota)
  3. Up to 18 points for programme-specific selection criteria (only for some programs)

The admission limits are thus formed on the basis of the total points achieved from the areas:

Final grade + special achievements (+ programme-specific selection criteria) = point value for admission

Exceptions are International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development and Work and Organizational Psychology. We have explained the selection procedures under the program-specific selection criteria.

Points for admission in the current winter semester

In the application procedure for the actual winter term the following total points lead to admission:

    Study programmeTotal points

    Psychology and Sustainability32 points/ L

In the event of an equal number of points, the ranking on the list is determined by lot (L). All study programs not listed were not ranked as part of the selection process. The information is without guarantee. The scores used for admission vary from year to year.
