Doctoral Research Group Economics

The doctoral research group comprises the fields of economics and econometrics and is associated to the same-named Department within the School of Public Affairs. In 2009, the economic research group of Lüneburg was admitted in the CHE Excellence Ranking, which certifies particular research strength especially for master's and doctoral programs.

  • Microeconometric Studies on International Corporate Activity, Business Demographics and Employment Dynamics and Industrial Relations

Doctoral Courses

As a doctoral candidate at Leuphana, you not only write your dissertation, but also participate in the interdisciplinary doctoral courses to the extent of 30 credit points, which include (inter)disciplinary colloquia (Research Forum I and Research Forum II) and furthermore comprises four interdisciplinary modules on research ethics, research methods, scientific practice and current perspectives on science.
