Pitch your research: Storylines for complex content

This workshop equips you with practical tools to distill complex research into compelling, concise narratives tailored to diverse audiences and contexts. Drawing on frameworks such as the Elevator Pitch, SCQA (Situation-Complication-Question-Answer), and the Hero’s Journey, you will explore how to craft effective and engaging research pitches.

Through guided exercises, attendees will deconstruct their own research into a clear, audience-appropriate pitch – applicable from supervisor meetings and conference presentations to TED-style talks and poster sessions – building confidence in science communication beyond the academic paper.
