Youth and Education: Learning requires Relationships - Communicorn 2025

2025-11-05 How do we want to learn, teach, and grow together? These questions were at the core of the area Youth & Education at the Communicorn Conference of the Leuphana Social Innovation Community.

Through table discussions and mutual exchange, transformative and holistic approaches to topics related to youth and education were created.

The discussions made it clear that education comes alive when it is based on relationships, appreciation, mutual respect, and curiosity about one another. Instead of fighting symptoms, the focus was on genuine transformation—on attitude, openness, and the ability to constantly ask whether what we are doing is really effective. The vision of the future developed by the participants showed education as a shared space: Intergenerational, cooperative, connected to civil society, (social) enterprises, and parents. School is not only understood here as a place of teaching, but as a place of encounter, growth, and shared responsibility.

What remains is the realization that education begins where people truly encounter one another. Where diversity is seen as a strength. Where learning is meaningful and enjoyable.
