Let's talk Karriere: How to Write a Non-Academic CV

The “Let’s Talk Career” series invites alumni with doctoral degrees to discuss entering the workforce outside of academia and the pivotal moments in their career journeys. To offer a broader range of opportunities and perspectives, we regularly collaborate with other universities: “Let’s Talk Career Meets…” is a joint initiative of the graduate schools at the universities of Clausthal, Jena, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Münster, and Lüneburg. The Coffee Converation Special by University Leipzig focuses on how to write non-academic CV's:

This interactive talk offers advice on how to write a persuasive CV for non-academic job applications and also allows you to raise your relevant questions and concerns.

Aspects covered include:

• Relevant differences between applications in and outside academia
• How to read a job advertisement, and how to customize your application dossier
• How to organize the writing process
• How to design and structure the CV
• How to present competencies and fit in the CV
