Previously, he served as Vice Principal for Internationalisation. Conroy has also held the posts of Dean of the Faculty of Education, Head of Graduate School and Head of Department of Religious Education at the University. He is a leading philosopher of Education, focusing on epistemology, religion, culture and literature in education as well as policy and professionalism. Professor Conroy is the author of some 100 monographs, referred papers and essays. In 2014 his study, ‘Does RE Work’ was a prize winner in the Society for Educational Studies award for Educational monograph of the Year. Conroy holds his teaching certificate from St. Mary's College, Strawberry Hill and degrees from the University of London (IoE), Lancaster University and VU, Amsterdam. In 2013 he was elected to a Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences.

From 2011-2017 he served as Vice president there. Professor Ehlers holds degrees in English Language, Social Sciences and Educational Sciences from the University of Bielefeld where he completed his Ph.D. with honors in the field of technology enhanced learning. He habilitated at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2008. Ehlers held positions as Associate Professor at the University Duisburg-Essen, at the University Augsburg and the University of Maryland. He is founding member and past President of the European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning and has served as President of The Society for Media in Science e.V.

She studied Physics at the University of Oxford, and gained a PhD in Medical Radiation Physics from UCL. She then spent several years in medical physics and biomedical engineering research before moving into a career focused on education development and enhancement after discovering that her passion lay in creating the best education for her students. As an education-focused academic, she has led teams in developing both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Biomedical Engineering, conducted a full review of education for over 1600 postgraduate Engineering students, and now leads UCL’s professional recognition scheme for its teaching staff. Her research in Engineering Education has been presented at national and international conferences, and she has spoken internationally on authentic assessment and developing research-based education using UCL’s Connected Curriculum framework.

Harris is Academic Vice President of doctoral education at KI, having previously worked specifically with developing quality control for KI doctoral education through a variety of teaching and organisational activities, and also teaches widely at national and international institutions. In 2014 he was one of two recipients of the KI pedagogy prize, the first to receive it for a contributions to doctoral education. Harris is also President of ORPHEUS, The Organisation for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System, which aims to stimulate quality assurance of PhD research and education and to strengthen career opportunities for PhD graduates.

Sandra Heinemann studied educational studies with a focus on continuing education and psychology at Helmut-Schmidt-University / University of the Bundeswehr Hamburg. She held positions in science at her alma mater as well as in career counseling at private and public educational institutions before entering science management in the area of postgraduate programmes. She is a certified educational consultant and has been supporting PhD students with their entry into the non-academic labour market since 2018.

He was a student at Fribourg and Tübingen, a research fellow at Cambridge and an Ambizione fellow at ETH Zürich. His research focuses on the interrelation of expert advice and public criticism in past and present, on the history of innovation and automation and on nationalism before modernity. His publications include a book on The Origins of Nationalism: An Alternative History from Ancient Rome to Early Modern Germany and a monograph on Skandalexperten – Expertenskandale. Zur Geschichte eines Gegenwartsproblems.

Together with Beate Söntgen, she initiated the doctoral program “Promovieren im Museum“. In addition, Leeb is in charge of the art room at Leuphana University as well as the Leuphana Arts Program along with Ulf Wuggenig. Leeb studied art history, philosophy and German Literature in Cologne and received her PhD from the University of Frankfurt/Oder with a dissertation on “Die Kunst der anderen. Weltkunst und die anthropologische Konfiguration der Moderne“. She held positions at the Free University Berlin, at the Art Academy in Nuremberg and the University of Basel before joining Leuphana University in 2014. Currently, she serves as Vice president for research at Leuphana University.

His main current research interests are in the area of the governance of higher education and science. Before moving to Norway in 2000, he was acting director of the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS), University of Twente, the Netherlands. He has been a member of many national and international expert panels in higher education, and is currently as external expert participating in the work of the Research Committee of the German Science Council. He is the editor of the academic book series Higher Education Dynamics (Springer), and has (co-)produced over 200 international articles, books, and reports.
