As native English speaker, Courtney Peltzer-Hönicke studied German Studies at the University of Kansas and at the Universities of Bonn and Hamburg.
She has been working in science management for the last 16 years. Peltzer-Hönicke has distinctive expertise in university marketing, mobility programs, and partnership management. Her current focus is on strategic internationalization, especially the implementation of elements of internationalization within daily university life.

Born in Canada, Oliver Schmidt studied Modern History, Social Sciences and American Studies at the Universities of Erlangen and Munich, Ohio University (Athens) and the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. He graduated from Harvard University with a PhD in History.

Dr. Schmidt served as Director of Media for the Bertelsmann Foundation. As assistant professor of history and founding member and executive director of the Center for Metropolitan Studies in Berlin, he helped build the graduate research program Berlin - New York. In his last post before joining the Fulbright Commission, he served as program head for the Joachim Herz Foundation in Hamburg directing the Department for Personal Development.

Tim Hoff obtained his B.A. in Social Work at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and his M.A. in Educational Sciences at Leuphana University Lueneburg. During his studies, he spent one semester in Chile as well as two months in Brussels working with human rights NGOs. Before he started his PhD, Tim worked as Academic Assistant in the Liberal Arts program “Studium Individuale” at Leuphana University for two years.

Tim Hoff is a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation, board member of the early career researchers network of the German Society for Research in Higher Education and co-founder of the European Liberal Arts Initiative (ELAI): www.liberal-arts.eu.

His PhD from Cornell University combined history, literary studies, and philosophy in the study of German Romanticism. He is an experienced university instructor, having taught in a number of capacities at Cornell University, as visiting faculty at the European College of Liberal Arts (now Bard College Berlin), and currently in the interdisciplinary context of UCF. In his teaching and curriculum planning, he seeks to create student-centered learning environments that deal with broad, human concerns through careful attention to specific cultural objects.

Before joining the CHE, Isabel Roessler was employed at Ruhr University Bochum. The senior project manager works mainly in the field of transfer and third mission of higher education institutions as well as in the development of higher education systems. In this subject area, she also did her doctorate externally at the Technical University Dortmund.
Since 2018, Isabel Roessler has been a member of EAIR's Executive Committee.

Udo Thelen has been working as senior consultant for twenty years. His field of expertise: university-business cooperation in the form of joint study, doctoral and continuing education programs as well as cooperative corporate academies. As a special consultant, he supported organizations such as ACQUIN, GIZ, Charité Foundation, and the German Council of Science and Humanities. He also held various leadership positions in the areas of university management, business development and marketing at various universities, funding organizations and private-sector companies.

Thelen is a linguist and holds a certification as management coach.
