The Master’s programme is a joint programme by Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany, the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, and the University of Valencia in Spain. The three universities contribute to the programme with their distinguished profiles in the respective areas. The programme offers a highly attractive and academically outstanding education in work and organizational psychology. Specifically, the programme aims at the development of theoretical, methodological, organizational, and communicative skills that are relevant to realize, develop, and evaluate research and applied projects within work and organizational psychology.

The programme addresses students who are committed to excellence and seek to pursue an academic or managerial career in the specialized area of work and organizational psychology. The programme links advanced theoretical and methodological knowledge with hands-on research training to implement projects in the laboratory and the field. Furthermore, the programme will foster the students’ understanding of the most pressing challenges of the working society in the 21st century. The programme is especially qualified for students who are interested in a follow-up PhD programme in the field of work and organizational psychology.

The international environment across three different European countries helps the students to acquire extensive intercultural competencies, collaborative, communicative, and language skills in addition to their professional training. Students will be best prepared for an academic career or a career in internationally operating organizations with departments in the field of work and organizational psychology. Depending on their individual profile, students have multiple career options especially in human performance related research areas such as human resources, work psychology, or organizational development. Students will also have access to leading positions in business and consulting, public administration or policy advising.

Due to the international scope of the programme and the strong focus on the psychology of work and organizations, students of this programme will find various job opportunities around the globe.

As a student in our programme, you have the opportunity to start your doctorate early via the Doctoral Track. Thus, you to become part of the scientific community of our doctoral research groups at an early stage, giving you the unique opportunity to combine your Master's and doctoral studies and, with your doctorate in sight, to obtain your Master's degree en-route.

The Master's programme is aimed at national and international students who either have a university Bachelor degree in Psychology, a university Bachelor degree with predominantly psychological components, or any equivalent (70 ECTS Psychology, 30 ECTS Methods). This means that UAS degrees do not meet the entry requirement.

For applicants whose first language is not English, the awarding universities set a minimum English Language proficiency level.
