Application

Please submit a fully completed online application for admission as exchange student within the following periods:

• 15 May - 15 July for the autumn term (Wintersemester) starting in October
• 15 November - 15 January for the spring term (Sommersemester) starting in April

Under certain conditions, students from foreign universities with which no agreement on student exchange exists can also be admitted as guest students for 1-2 semesters. We will check the application carefully.

For a quick application process you can prepare several documents which has to be uploaded within your online application:

1. Certificate of enrolment at the home university
2. Learning Agreement before mobility
3. Academic Transcript of Records
4. Certificate of Bachelor/Master Degree (if applicable)
5. Passport or ID
6. Proof of language proficiency (more information)
7. for EU students: European health insurance card
8. for non EU students: health insurance for Germany (travel health insurance is not sufficient), for Turkish citizens: AT 11
9. for non EU students without visa for the whole period of stay: blocked bank account (https://www.leuphana.de/en/institutions/international-center/coming-to-leuphana/studying-in-germany/visa.html)

Extension of stay abroad (optional)

If you would like to extend your study abroad at Leuphana, please submit an application to the International Center by 15 January for the upcoming summer semester and by 15 July for the upcoming winter semester. Please see our checklist (pdf).
